Looking after our customers

The world feels like it’s inching towards normality, as we slowly recover from the chaos caused by Covid.

We know many of our customers are happy to not be in lockdown and they are enjoying more freedom, whilst there are still lots of people who are understandably feeling very cautious.

However you feel, we want to reassure you that Zoom 1hr Delivery still have our Covid safe delivery policies in place.

We always planned to continue them, to make receiving deliveries as safe as possible for our customers and our drivers.

Keeping safe is important to them, so it matters to us.

The procedures we are continuing to implement are as follows:

  1. Our team complete regular health checks and continue to follow current government guidance
  2. When placing your order, only card payments will be accepted. No money will be exchanged during the delivery to maintain a contact-free delivery service.
  3. Our drivers will remain socially distanced at all times. Once they have rung the bell or knocked on the door, they will place your order on your doorstep and take a step back. All they need is your name to confirm they have successfully delivered your order.
  4. If you are self-isolating, please add this information to your delivery notes. We will ensure extra measures are taken to deliver your order in a Covid safe manner. We can deliver your order to a designated spot and no face-to-face contact will be made.
  5. Drivers will regularly sanitise their hands and delivery bags, and this will always happen before and after every drop.

Thank you for all your support in helping to make our delivery process as safe as possible.

Celebrating our 100,000th order with Co-Op!

This week we reached a huge milestone! We have now fulfilled 100,000 orders for the Co-op!

Zoom landed the partnership deal with the popular grocery store last year and have been expanding our operations ever since. We now cover areas across the UK, from Carlisle to Falmouth and throughout Wales.

During the pandemic, Zoom experienced rapid growth across our platform. This helped us to secure the partnership with the Co-op, as well as launching in multiple areas across the UK, offering a speedy delivery service in rural parts of the country.

Since launching in 2017, we have been on a mission to deliver further and faster across most parts of the United Kingdom. We recently moved into a new head office in Bicton Heath, boasting 20 employees as well as a national driver fleet delivering around the country in our distinctive Zoom 1hr cars.

Our founder and CEO, Kev Williams expressed his excitement on the company’s success, “We are delighted to reach this milestone in such a short space of time. We cannot underestimate the value of this partnership to our customers over the last 10 months. Our strategy of focusing on underserved areas within the UK has enabled the Co-op to offer a same day delivery service to customers who, arguably, need it the most.

“We look forward to growing our delivery coverage with the Co-op to an impressive 268 stores by the end of September to become the largest last mile delivery partner and will work tirelessly through the winter months to continue to serve customers new and old.”

Home deliveries of groceries with Zoom 1hr can be ordered through the Co-op website. Takeaway deliveries from local food businesses can be ordered via the Zoom 1hr App, which is available on Apple and android.
